5th Avenue shut down after heavy fire rips through $50 million dollar Upper East Side mansion


A two-alarm fire broke out at a historical townhouse on the Upper East Side on Sunday night, injuring three people.

According to local authorities, at least two firefighters and three other people were transported to Lenox Hill medical center all with minor injuries.

The building is home to the office for Serbia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

Officials at the scene said the fire is not deemed to be suspicious.
