Baby orangutan fashions hammock from piece of cloth

A baby orangutan fashions a hammock from a piece of cloth in its enclosure, looping it over a handle as it nestles inside and astonishing the filmers with its inventiveness.

"Look at that!" says the lady – the 83-year-old grandmother of the filmer, Colin, who adds, "No way!" doubting whether the move was intentional. "I would say yes," says the grandmother, with a hint of bewilderment.

"I started filming because it was rolling around with the rag and it was really cute," said Colin. "It even swung in the hammock as if it had done this before. It was truly an amazing feat, especially seeing this was a newly born orangutan. It made us wonder how intelligent they truly are."

The footage was filmed at Cleveland Zoo in October.
