Beijing Zoo used sprinklers and frozen fruits to help animals cope with the heatwave.

The video, filmed on July 17, shows elephants cooling down under the water sprayed out of the sprinklers while giraffes stayed under the grass umbrella and enjoyed the mist spraying out.

A panda can be seen having a snack beside a giant ice cube in an enclosure equipped with air-conditioner.

A zookeeper chopped the watermelon into small pieces and froze them into ice cubes to feed the ring-tailed lemurs.
