Calming footage shows swarms of jellyfish that shut down Filipino beach

Footage from a Filipino beach shows swarms of jellyfish that resulted in the beach and surrounding waters being closed to the public on July 10.

Shot near Samar Island, thousands of the thimble jellyfish can be seen in their floating communities.

Rising ocean temperatures are said to increase their numbers close to the shore.

The filmer - who was on vacation - said: "All of a sudden there were these jellyfish everywhere."

He was then prompted to film the spectacle on his underwater drone.
