Chinese acrobats plummet to the ground during aerial performance

Four Chinese acrobats fell from a height of about 16 feet during a performance in central China.

The shocking video, captured in Shangqiu City in Henan Province on November 23, shows four acrobats hanging on a digger performing a trapeze routine in front of a crowd.

However, the rope connecting the metal harness and the digger suddenly breaks when the performers flip backwards to hang upside-down, causing them to plummet to the ground.

Four performers were all sent to hospital and fortunately none of them were in a life-threatening condition, reports said.

The case was being investigated by police.
