Chinese glass walkway closes after pane shatters

Officials closed a famous Chinese glass walkway in northern China after a pane shattered.

In the video, a man shows the broken pane to the camera in Handan City in northern Hebei Province on October 9.

He then takes pieces of glass out of the broken pane.

‘'The glass is totally broken but the walkaway is still open to the public. This is a serious security threat,'' says the man in the video.

Chinese officials said the glass bridge has been closed after the pane shattered but that some tourists have been seen walking nearby the segment damaged ignoring the official warning.

The broken pane has been repaired, reports said.
