Climate activists form blockade in central Bristol as part of coordinated national protest

Members of the Extinction Rebellion activists group from the Bristol branch have formed a blockade on Victoria Street today (July 15).

The demonstrators have used a pink boat to block the road, which has become synonymous with the movement since it was used in London’s Oxford Street earlier this year.

The protest signifies the start of a week-long protest by the group to raise awareness for ecocide.
