Controlled explosions demolish illegal hotel in northern India


This is the moment a three-star hotel building in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh state in India was demolished by controlled explosions on Wednesday.

The hotel was destroyed on the orders of the high court as it was built on illegal land.

Hotel Shanti Palace and Clarks-In, situated at the main Ujjain-Indore four-lane highway, was built on the land that was procured illegally and was originally meant for a residential colony, according to local media.
