Cow on helipad almost spells disaster in India

Bystanders feared the worst on Saturday when a cow ran onto the helipad seconds before a helicopter carrying a former politician landed in India.

As the chopper carrying former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi came into to land in a field near Bilaspur in the state of Chhattisgarh, the cow somehow got into the fenced off area around the helipad.

Police officers tried to drive the cow away but the bovine couldn't find its way out of the enclosed area.

Fortunately, the helicopter managed to land safely and the cow was later sent on its way.
