Dishes served via spiral slides at China's Spacelab restaurant

The Spacelab restaurant in southern China's Shenzhen uses spiral slides to serve food onto tables instead of waiters.

The interesting video, shot on May 21, shows a bowl of food sliding down a spiral track to arrive at a dining table.

According to reports, three tables share one spiral slide and the colours on the table match with the colours on the dishes to help customers separate their food.

The spiral slides deliver food quicker than human and help reduce around five waiters in a restaurant.

Customers in Spacelab restaurant order their food on iPads and scan the code to pay. Then the kitchen will receive the orders and serve food to customers via the spiral slides.
