Dozens of arrests as London bridges blocked by thousands of climate change protesters


Police carried out mass arrests as several bridges were blocked in London today as part of a "Rebellion Day" demonstration against climate change.

Footage shows police arresting demonstrators one-by-one on Lambeth Bridge in Westminster.

According to the filmer, there were "around 50" arrests on this bridge alone.

Hosted by protest group "Extinction Rebellion and Rising Up", Southwark, Blackfriars, Waterloo, Westminster and Lambeth Bridges were all blocked by demonstrators.
