Driver rescues puppy from central reservation of a motorway in Thailand

A caring driver saved a stray puppy from the middle of a busy highway in Thailand.

Passing motorist Aphichet Thongloedlam, 28, noticed the brown Aspin cowering in the hedgerow in the middle of the highway in Phetchabun region in central Thailand on 25 May.

After parking his car he braved the busy road to save the stray dog.

The frightened puppy was at first reluctant to come out of the hedge where it was hiding, but its saviour eventually tempted it out and took it into his own care as a pet, until a permanent home could be found for it.

Mr Thongloedlam said: ''He looked so frightened. I knew I had to stop and help. I will care for him until someone wants to adopt him.’'
