Drone footage showcases Greenland's scenery that Trump is considering buying

US President Donald Trump has confirmed he is considering an attempt to purchase Greenland from Denmark for real estate purposes.

An analysis from the Washington Post put a possible price tag between $200 million and $1.7 trillion, although the autonomous territory's prime minister has said the country is not for sale.

In 1946, former US President Harry Truman reportedly attempted to buy Greenland for $100 million in gold - equivalent to roughly $1.3 billion today (adjusted for inflation).

Drone footage filmed in August 2018 displays the snowy residential areas in the country's capital, Nuuk.
