Dust storms blanket China’s northwest in ‘yellow snow’
Residents of Xinjiang, an autonomous territory located in China's northwest, were surprised to see what appeared to be yellow snow fall upon them after a dust storm shrouded the city.
The footage, filmed on December 1, shows the tinted snowfall which some compared to tiramisu.
Around 10 to 20 cm of snow of was reported in the region’s capital Urumqi and neighboring cities of Shihezi and Changji that day.
