Elephants tuck in for a (rather loud) good night's sleep at India rejuvenation camp

Twilight is giving into darkness at this elephant rejuvenation camp at Mettupalayam in South India, but that doesn't mean it's quiet.

While some emit a soft hiss, others take it to the decibel of a subdued trumpet, as seen in this video filmed on December 30.

There are also a few restless souls eating through the night and ringing bells tied around their neck.

Nearly 30 elephants have been brought to the annual elephant rejuvenation camp. For 48 days, these animals take a break from their work and get a chance to rest and eat nutritious food.
