Empty shelves: Melbourne dad films shoppers bulk buying baby formula at supermarket

Baby formula is cleared from the shelves of an Australian Woolworths before the main doors of the shopping center are even open.

According to the filmer, more than 30 people were going back and forth from the Melbourne store, describing it as a "formula-buying syndicate" when he shot the video on February 6.

The store has a limit on the baby formula of two per person. However, the store personnel are powerless in stopping people going in again to buy more.

A shop worker told the filmer, a father of three, that this happens every morning at the store.

The father expresses his concerns over social media saying he feels for other young parents living around the affected area, as he remembers how hard it was to find baby formula specifically for his son's allergies and health conditions.
