Environmentalists investigating the death of a dolphin which washed up in Thailand


Conservationists are investigating the death of a dolphin which washed up in Thailand.

Locals smelled the dead creature after it appeared on the coast of Bang Pu district in Samut Prakan, south of Bangkok on Friday 19 July.

Police arrived with marine specialists who identified the corpse as an Irrawaddy dolphin.

The cause of its death is not yet known.
