Ethereal scene for divers swimming beneath a California oil platform
Divers swimming underneath the Eureka oil platform in California caught this otherworldly sight of nearly 40 years of underwater coral growth.
Video shot on Saturday (November 13) shows coral and barnacles have completely overtaken the platform legs below the waterline.
The Eureka platform, sited off Long Beach, is still active and has been in place since the 1980s, and has become a popular advanced diving spot due to the amazing growth of sea life under and around it.
