Extinction Rebellion climate protesters halt London traffic with mass ride-out
Climate activists from the Extinction Rebellion group staged a mass ride-out on bicycles in Hackney on Saturday bringing traffic to a standstill.
The protest was described on the Extinction Rebellion website as a "critical mass" designed to "protest against government inaction on climate change, despite the declaration of a climate emergency in May."
