Factory in China explodes due to a gas leak killing 1 and injuring 9


A steel and iron factory in southern China exploded due to a gas leak, killing one and injuring nine.

The video, filmed in Nanchang City in Jiangxi Province today (May 29), shows a thick cloud of smoke rising through the air.

The gas leaked out of a blast furnace during repairs, causing the explosion.

One worker died and nine were injured. The injured people have been sent to hospital already.

Ten fire engines, two fire-fighting robots and 65 firemen were sent on site.

According to reports, the fire has been put out and the cleaning work is underway.
