Fatal stabbing of boy, thought to be 15, in Hackney north-east London


A major investigation has started after a boy, thought to be 15, was stabbed to death in Hackney last night.

Police were called to Somerford Grove, just before 9pm on Wednesday, 1st May.

A male, believed to be 15 years old, was found with stab injuries.

He was given emergency first aid by officers before paramedics from London's Air Ambulance were called to the scene.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at 21.49hrs.

His next of kin have been informed and have tonight been to the crime scene.

A second male, believed to be 16 years old, was found with stab injuries in Shacklewell Road.

He has been taken to hospital. His injuries have been assessed as non life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

Footage shows a police cordon where a forensic police unit investigate the scene.
