Firefighters battling out-of-control 5-alarm fire in Brooklyn building


New York City firefighters are currently struggling with an out-of-control 5-alarm building fire in Brooklyn.

Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries after a fire broke out on the sixth floor of a building located at 44th Street and 7th Avenue in Sunset Park on Wednesday afternoon (April 3), according to the FDNY.

In the video, we can see firefighters battling huge flames as dark smoke rises into the air.

More than 100 firefighters are attending the scene.

The city's official emergency management system advises people to avoid the area.
