Firefighters rescue owl trapped in a basketball hoop stand
Firefighters from Santa Clara County Fire Department had to be creative and used a 12’ pike pole that allowed the bird to perch on the metal hook and be gently lifted to safety. The owl was not only unharmed during the rescue, but remained remarkably calm for a quick hello with the crew before returning to nature.
