Fishing fleet completely destroyed in harbour fire in Indonesia

Approximately 15 fishermen boats were gutted by fires at Muara Baru Port in Northern Jakarta, Indonesia, yesterday evening (February 23).

The scale of the fire forced Jakarta's Fire Department to send 21 of their vehicles to combat the fire, which created a smoke column that could be seen kilometres away from the accident location.

No injuries or fatalities were reported.

Muara Baru Port is a special port for traditional fishermen to dock their boats, and is also known as "fishermen village".
