Flooding and mudslides as heavy rains hit parts of Southern California

Neighborhoods in the Lake Elsinore area of Southern California were hit by heavy rains on Thursday, December 6.

This video, filmed at the Glen Ivy Golf Course in Temescal Valley, shows fast-moving water rushing down.

The threat of mud and debris flows prompted Riverside County public safety officials to issue a mandatory evacuation to residents in the late afternoon. In August, the 23,000-acre Holy Fire devastated the area, raising the potential for damaging floods and mudslides.
