Foam Sneaker Wave Soaks Onlookers at Oregon Coast

Occurred on January 11, 2020 / Lincoln City, Oregon, USA

Info from Licensor: "It's king tide season in Oregon. A group of us are watching waves from a lookout point. Sneaker waves are pretty common here and are the cause of many deaths here. In fact, a couple of children were pulled out to sea on this same day in a different location. We were lucky with our wave. It was mostly foam. Water would have been much worse, especially for the people standing on the benches. Notice the water shot of the beach access ramp in addition to crashing over the wall. This video was taken by me, a primary school music teacher, on Saturday, January 11th. Those are my husband's legs spinning out on the right. I am scared giggling in the background."
