Giant Burmese Python unloaded from crate to Thai pet show

This is the bizarre process of how giant reptiles such as Burmese Pythons are unloaded from crates when travelling.

This serpent was travelling to a pet show at a Thai airport on Sunday (March 10), and arrived from a local zoo in a iheavy duty crate and had to be unloaded by several people.

The footage was shot in the Central Airport Plaza in Chiang Mai and came from Chiang Mai Night Safari.

The reptile is sixteen years old, weighs 80 kilos and is seven metres long.

It is one of the world's largest snakes, so it is fed chickens and rabbits, though some people do keep smaller ones as pets.
