Giant supercell is the genesis of a devastating twister which devastated Magnum, Oklahoma USA

Watch this giant supercell stalk through the sky as it begins to form the devastating tornado that ransacked Magnum, Oklahoma on May 21.

The ominous dark clouds loom close to the ground as a funnel can clearly be seen forming at the edge of this monster system.

The funnel became a violent twister which ripped through Magnum, Oklahoma causing severe damage to homes and structures according to the US' National Weather Service.

The filmer is in a moving vehicle while capturing the enormous cloud formation set back in a field.

Footage shows the daunting size of this supercell and how different shades of grey permeate the system yet deep within its centre the colour turns to night-black.
