Gigantic storm thrashes against coast of Malta, flooding towns and resorts
The island of Malta is being battered by high winds and tidal surges all along its coast, as seen in this footage caught today (February 24).
Footage shows the coastal town of Sliema being struck by the immense waves, with the beachside walk completely flooded and buildings being hit by the roiling tides.
The intense weather has been caused by a low pressure system settling over the island. Warnings have been issued for people to stay indoors due to flying debris.
