Great white thrashes around chasing seal off South Africa

A group of tourists witnessed a seal’s frantic escape from the jaws of death off the coast of Mossel Bay in South Africa.

Footage captured from the tourists' boat shows a great white shark chasing a seal close to the water's surface.

Tourists can be heard screaming in the video as they see the shark writhe and thrash trying to catch the seal.

''Seabound tourists in South Africa got more than they bargained for when they stumble upon natures dark side. A great white shark and cape fur seal fight to the death only 15 meters (49ft) away from the vessel,'' the filmer said.

The clip was captured in July 2018.
