Huge pine tree crashes into bedroom of Florida home

Hurricane Michael has brought flooding and destruction to Florida.

Video filmed today (October 11) by a local resident shows a huge pine tree felled in the strong winds on top of a house.

Chad Hembro filmed the felled pine tree on top of the property, situated around two miles from Apalachicola Bay, and said it belonged to the Nichols family.

Local paper The Apalachicola Times quoted Johnny Nichols as saying: “It was intense. I was in my bedroom when the tree fell on it. I think it might have actually been a tornado, but I’m just guessing."

Further footage shows residents beginning to clean up in the wake of the hurricane.
