Human's best friend! Dog waits patiently for his owners to come home

Adorable footage showed Merlin the Maltese cross waiting by the back door where his owner Anna usually walks in from.

The clip filmed in Melbourne, Australia on April 19, shows the pup loyally waiting and staring at the door for his owners to come back inside.

“We came home and decided have a peek inside to see where Merlin is and found him waiting for us by the garage door, where we usually come in from, what did we do to deserve him?!” Anna told Newsflare.

Merlin finally notices his owners at the front door and excitedly bounces towards them.
