Human traffic jam on holy Vietnam mountain top during Lunar New Year

Locals flocked to the northeastern Vietnamese peak of Yen Tu during the recent Lunar New Year celebrations, creating a human traffic jam along its trail.

Video filmed on February 8 shows hundreds of people moving at a snail's pace en route to the Dong Pagoda at the 1,000-metre-high mountain's peak, which lies in Quang Ninh Province.

Pilgrims go to the top of the mountain to pray for luck and happiness.

A new complex aimed at attracting visitors to Yen Tu recently opened.
