Land Rover spins out on 'shallow bend' due to diesel spill

A crash on a "shallow bend" due to a diesel spillage will surely make drivers think twice when heading into a corner at speed.

Kevin Lee, from Crawley, was on his way back from a country show on July 30 when he approached a bend "known for crashes".

As his Land Rover Discovery rounds the corner, he slips on a puddle of diesel and spins out.

"Shortly after, a Corsa driven by an off-duty police officer did the same thing," he added.

The police reportedly confirmed the presence of diesel on the road.

Posted to facebook, commenters were quick to point out the dangers of diesel on the road.

"Diesel is as lethal as black ice," said one.

Another added: "Nothing you can do about diesel. It’s like being on an ice rink."
