Man climbs down building with grandson on his back to escape a fire in southern China

A man carried his grandson on his back while climbing down the outside of a residential building to escape a fire in southern China.

The video, filmed in Changsha county in Hunan province on August 21, shows thick smoke coming out of an apartment on the seventh floor of a building.

A man, with his grandson on his back, is seen scaling down the building.

Firefighters broke into the flat on the seventh floor to put out the fire first and then rescued the man and his grandson on the floor below.

The pair were sent to hospital and their conditions are unknown.
