Most unlikely friendship: Leopard 'plays catch' with dog

The town of Bageshwar in Uttarkhand, India, is abuzz with the talk of a close friendship between a leopard and a dog.

Many had reported seeing the two unlikely friends playing, though none took these accounts seriously.

After all, leopards are known to prey upon dogs, which are abundant, slow and easy to kill.

But a CCTV camera at a local temple put an end to the speculation after it caught the two appearing to play run and catch together.

While the dog miraculously survived the catch and lived to play another game, not everyone is thrilled. Shyam Lal, 43, a local resident said: ‘’Forest officials should catch this leopard before it can harm anyone. Our children are in danger.”
