Motorist sprayed with fire extinguisher after he refused to stop smoking at petrol station in China

A motorist was sprayed with a fire extinguisher after he refused to stop smoking at a petrol station in central China.

The video, filmed in Tianmen city in Hubei province on August 11, shows a worker picking up the fire extinguisher and spraying the man smoking on his three-wheeler.

The man then drove away from the worker to avoid the smoke but still did not put out his cigarette.

The woman chased after him to spray him again, forcing him to leave the petrol station.

According to reports, the three-wheeler driver named Li went to refuel his vehicle after drinking and forgot to bring his ID.

Li then deliberately lit a cigarette beside a pump and refused to put it out after being asked by the staff at the petrol station.

Li has been detained by police, reports said.
