New flotilla sails from Gaza port in attempt to break Israeli siege

A flotilla known as 'Freedom Ship 23' was launched 3:00pm Tuesday from Gaza port as part of ongoing attempts to break the Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.

Eight palestinians were injured by Israeli forces, according to the uploader. "Israeli forces opened fire, as well as fired tear-gas bombs towards large Palestinian crowds gathered at the northern borders of the besieged Gaza Strip," he wrote.

Around 40 fishing boats joined the 22 -strong procession, and sailed off the northern sea coast of the Gaza Strip until they reached the area between northern Gaza Strip and Israel. Boats were then forced to head back to shore.

The National Committee for Breaking the Siege, which organised the naval march, said "the naval marches will continue until our goals are achieved."
