This was the moment scores of New Yorkers were caught off guard by a sudden downpour yesterday (May 23).
Footage captured in the Upper East Side shows many people dashing over puddles in a desperate attempt to find shelter from the wet weather.
One man even resorted to covering his head with a plastic bag while crossing the road near E 72nd Street and 2nd Avenue.
