New Zealand bridge washes away as 'monster' rainstorm batters South Island
A bridge over a river in New Zealand has collapsed after a heavy rainstorm battered the South Island region.
Footage captured today (March 26) shows the moment the bridge is brought low by the surging floodwaters of the Waiho River.
The rainstorm has forced emergency services in the South Island to close roads and evacuate homes.
