NYC metro tunnel flooded with brown liquid following water main break

Riders in a New York City subway train were evacuated at 23rd Street Station after a nearby water main broke at about 3:30 PM on Tuesday (March 26).

In the clip, brown liquid can be seen running down the tracks and people evacuating the train.

The filmer wrote: "As the No.1 train pulled out of 23rd st station there was an announcement [...] that due to an emergency flood situation ahead of the train we were to calmly exit through the rear of the train via the last carriage which was still connected to the platform."

MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) and Department of Environmental Protection crews were on site handling the mess shortly after the water main broke.
