Ominous clouds hang over Victoria skies as storm system rolls in

The Australian state of Victoria experienced heavy rains and flash floods Thursday and Friday, prompting travel disruptions and road rescues.

This video, filmed in Federation Way, Wangaratta on December 13, shows overhanging grey clouds.

More than a month's worth of rain has been dumped in northeast Victoria, local media reported. Yesterday, more than 120 motorists became stuck on Hume Freeway, requiring helicopter response to bring them to safety.

The torrential rain has been linked to Cyclone Owen, which has smashed northern Australia. Flash flood warnings are in place for affected cities.
