Passengers despair as flights from Gatwick are grounded due to drone

Drone sightings have caused severe delays at London's Gatwick Airport last night (December 19).

Flights have been cancelled and grounded as a drone was spotted in airspace near the international airport.

Families and travellers have been delayed from getting home and seeing loved ones as no flights were coming in or out of the airport.

The filmer said: "I was waiting for my flight from London Gatwick to Porto to depart but there were drones flying over Gatwick. [The] flight ended up being cancelled."
