Pesky squirrel tries its best to hang onto slippery bird feeder pole

This squirrel was determined to get its grubby paws on some bird seed, no matter how slippery that pole was.

In the video, the creature can be seen clinging onto the oiled up bird feeder, sliding down as it loses its grip.

"I was trying to keep this pesky squirrel from gobbling up all the birdseed everyday by spraying vegetable oil on the attachments," the owner said.

The plan doesn't seem to have worked, however, with the squirrel seen successfully launching itself onto the feeder plate and munching away after the taxing journey.
