Police officers rescue raccoon from a catch basin


Officers from YPD were dispatched to Bennett Road after a concerned citizen located an animal stuck in a catch basin. Upon arrival, officers found a stuck raccoon, and they were worried that if it were left unattended, it would drown. With the assistance of Yarmouth Public Works and a dog pole from the Cumberland, Maine, Police Department, officers successfully removed the raccoon from the drain!
