Police Officers Take Part In Good Old Super Soaker Fight

A group of neighborhood kids were left with their mouth wide open when the armed police stepped in. Why, you ask? Because they too wanted to have some cool fun on what was the hottest day of the year!

These policemen weren’t packing just any old heat, nope. The big-hearted cops were armed with giant water guns, accepting the kids’ invitation for some fun in the sun. The officers from the Dixon police department in Illinois were praised all over media, after a series of kind-hearted videos surfaced, showing the professionals engaging the kids with Super Soakers. Each of those videos went viral overnight.

As temperatures were hitting the three digits on July 21, the police posted a challenge on their Twitter account, challenging parents to invite them over for a round if their kids wanted a water fight. After receiving numerous offers, the officers obliged each one for a battle with the youngsters.

"We couldn't have had a better time bonding with our community and this was a great success! Due to that success, future events similar to this will be planned" the DPD said. The officers were praised for their efforts to unite the community.

In a similar fashion, a video of North Carolina police officers enjoying a slip-n-slide with children in Asheville on July 2 has gone viral. Katlen Joyce Smith, who lives in Asheville, told local media that the slide was built for children in the block over the July 4 weekend but officers arrived on the scene after it was reported for blocking the road. The officers quickly established there was no problem and asked to join in the fun. Isn’t that awesome?
