Protestors hurl flares, set tires on fire outside Russia embassy in Kiev

Anti-Russian protesters gathered at the Russian embassy in Kiev on Monday, November 26 after the two countries’ vessels faced off near the Crimean peninsula.

In the video, protesters can be seen piling tiles outside the embassy and setting up on fire as flares lit up the sky. Scuffles break out towards the end of the clip.

The violence comes after Russian military seized three Ukrainian ships sailing in the Azov Sea, claiming they had encroached upon forbidden territory. As tensions escalated around the situation in the Kerch Strait, Russia called an emergency UN Security Council meeting, leading to a declaration of martial law in the country.
