Python caught hiding in bathroom of Thai family home

A 13ft-long Python was caught after slithering into a family's bathroom ceiling in Thailand on Thursday (July 11).

Rescuers were called after the huge serpent terrified Wilaiwan Rattano while she was going to the toilet in Chachoengsao, central Thailand.

Wilaiwan said: ''I went outside to get some air and was going to go to the bathroom before going to bed. I was shocked when I turned on the light and saw the snake above my head."

Footage shows how the team caught its tail and locked its head with a lasso before pulling it out from the narrow space.

The python was not injured during the rescue.

Rescuers then stuffed it in a bag and released it back in the wild several miles away.
