Quick-thinking passersby rescue 3-wheeler driver squashed under rebar in China's Foshan


A group of kind-hearted passersby rescued a three-wheeler driver after the rebar loaded on his vehicle roof crashed down and squashed him.

The video, filmed in Foshan city in southern China's Guangdong Province on June 13, shows the reinforcing steel loaded on three-wheeler suddenly collapsing onto the driver when he slowed down to drive over the speed bumps.

Nearby passersby rushed over immediately to try to move the steel bars, weighing over a tonne, to free the driver.

The driver was rescued and sent to hospital with 12 broken ribs by he was not in a life-threatening condition.
