Ready for Halloween? Dronecam shows harvest at huge UK pumpkin farm

This incredible drone footage shows the first day of pumpkin picking at one of the UK's biggest patches in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire last Sunday (October 7).

The thousands of pumpkins have been grown over the last 120 days and were ripe for picking at Maxley's Farm after a bountiful harvest.

Ripe pumpkins ready to pick are round, with smooth, slightly ribbed skin, and deep yellow to orange colouration.

Pumpkins, which are thought to have originated in North America, are often carved as jack-o'-lanterns for decoration around Halloween.
